This course enables you to gain an understanding of the roles and responsibilities of a teacher/tutor in Further Education, and develop skills in planning, teaching and assessing. You will plan and deliver a microteach session and reflect on microteach sessions delivered by other trainee teachers. There are 3 mandatory units of study (12 credits) as follows:
Understanding roles, responsibilities and relationships in education and training
Understanding and using inclusive teaching and learning approaches in education and training
Understanding assessment in education and training
Course content includes a wide range of templates, documents and resources to use to complete the course and continue to use in your teaching career.

Open to all - no prior qualifications or experience needed. If you're 19+, have a good command of English and are comfortable online, you're ready to start.

Working as a teacher/trainer, teaching one-to-one in small groups or whole classes, in the further education or vocational skills sector.
FE teachers can earn £22,000 - £35,000 once qualified, or can command flexible sessional rates of £20-£35 per hour for those who want to teach alongside their current career. (source: teachinfurthereducation.education.gov.uk)
Progress onto the GA Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training and/or the GA Level 5 Certificate in Teaching and Training in Aesthetic Practice.
