This Ofqual-regulated Level 5 qualification is designed for experienced aesthetic practitioners who deliver, or intend to deliver, education and training within the aesthetics sector. It provides a structured, sector-specific pathway to Level 5 teaching competence, ideal for practitioners from both clinical and non-clinical backgrounds. No prior teaching qualifications or experience is required.

Put it into practice - Complete a minimum of 30 hours of teaching practice in aesthetics, including observed teaching, allowing you to apply and develop your skills in a real teaching environment.

The course combines theoretical knowledge with practical teaching experience, ensuring trainers meet safety, quality and regulatory expectations in the aesthetics sector. You must have access to a minimum of 30 hours of teaching practice in aesthetics. Your teaching hours can be carried out in a college, workplace, clinic or academy. 3 hours will be observed across a minimum of 3 sessions.

Assessment
Method

You will: 1. Plan and deliver a 15-minute microteaching session 2. Complete written assignments 3. Keep a written record of your 30 hours of teaching practice 4. Keep a reflective account of your teaching practice 5. Be observed teaching by your assessor for a minimum of 3 hours across 3 sessions You will build a portfolio of evidence and complete your Teaching Practice Observations (Minimum 3 observations totalling minimum 3 hours)

Requirements

You must: 1. be aged 21 and above 2. be a practising or recently practising aesthetic practitioner 3. hold a qualification in aesthetic practice or equivalent professional competence 4. hold current insurance 5. have access to a suitable teaching/training environment with a minimum of 30 hours of teaching practice available 6. be proficient in English and maths (equivalent to GCSE Grade C/4 or above) No prior teaching experience required but established subject expertise in aesthetic practice is essential
